On Sunday, July 27, 2025, Madyco Company officially welcomed ten young finalists to the final stage of its entrepreneurial competition titled “What could you do with 2 million Burundian francs?”. This initiative aims to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and the economic empowerment of Burundian youth.
The award ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, July 29. On this occasion, the top three projects will be rewarded:
The first prize winner will receive 2 million Burundian francs,
The second prize will be awarded 1 million francs,
And the third prize will amount to 600,000 francs.
Pierre Claver Niyungeko, founder and CEO of Madyco Company, praised the commitment and creativity of the finalists. He encouraged them to work with discipline to bring their ideas to life. He also highlighted that this three-day competition received no external funding and was fully supported by the company’s internal resources.
The prizes awarded are neither refundable nor reclaimable at a later date. However, Madyco Company commits to closely monitoring the progress of the projects, ensuring that the funds are used wisely and that they have a real impact on the lives of young entrepreneurs.
