On July 29, 2025, the grand finale of the “Madyco Future Lab” competition was held at the QuéPasa venue. At the end of this event, three young entrepreneurs were honored for their innovative projects, selected from ten finalists representing different provinces of Burundi.
The first prize, worth 2 million Burundian francs, was awarded to Ndayikunda Lionel, from Bujumbura province, Bubanza commune, for his project of opening a hair salon. The second prize went to Ndayishimiye Chantal, from Butanyerera province (Kayanza commune), who plans to develop a pig farming business and received 1 million BIF. Finally, the third prize, accompanied by a check of 600,000 BIF, was presented to Nindemesha Eric, from Makamba (Nyarutuntu hill), for his maize farming project.
The winners expressed their gratitude to @Dyna_Co, organizer of the competition, for this unique opportunity. The prizes were presented in the form of checks, to be collected at the group’s headquarters.
@PierreNiyungeko, CEO of Madyco Group, praised the commitment of the participants and the quality of the projects submitted. He expressed pride in hosting the first edition of this initiative, formerly titled “What would you do with two million?”, and now renamed “Madyco Future Lab” to better reflect its mission: supporting youth entrepreneurship and building the Burundi of tomorrow.
Closing the ceremony, Mr. Niyungeko encouraged the non-awarded finalists to persevere in their ambitions. He also promised continuous monitoring and personalized support for all participants, emphasizing the importance of mutual trust in achieving project success. He thanked the jury members, partners, and everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
